Can you be healthy when you have chronic conditions or cancer? And you'll be happy to know that, more often than not, you can, at least in some way, build and maintain good health in a tricky body.
As a 65-year-old woman with multiple chronic illnesses, some life-long, two cancers and four heart attacks under my belt, I am happy to say that generally speaking, I am pretty healthy. Yes, I have to take four prescription medications. But most of my medication list is made up of dietary supplements. I do have some physical limitations. But I try to eat healthy foods, I try to exercise, I try to rest well. I'm not always successful. I gained weight after getting my taste buds back post-chemo (but food tasted SO GOOD and I had missed that pleasure!), I wasn't sleeping well at all (I was happy to get 6 hours, if that), and my fatigue limited me from sticking to a fitness regimen.
